Clary Business Machines was established in San Diego in 1954 to market and service Clary adding machines and cash registers. The firm was first incorporated in 1974 and the management has changed once since then. Despite an ever-changing product mix, the company has maintained many old, well-established sales and service relationships with a large quantity of small to large commercial firms as well as government and public institutions. Today Clary's customer list read like "Who's who" in US commerce.

In 2001, the company ventured into Internet Marketing. Multiple websites were developed for various product lines with an emphasis on simplicity, user friendliness and customer education. This strategy helped build very strong relationships with the manufacturers / suppliers and gain customer confidence. The company now owns 13 websites and generates a little over ½ its revenue through Internet sales nationwide. Our product specialists suppliment the Internet content by educating our customers over the phone. Building lifetime relationships with our customers is our top priority.

Today, Clary has become a digital office products specialist. It offers digital printers & copiers, facsimile systems, electronic whiteboards, meeting solutions, scanners and comprehensive lines of paper shredders (personal shredders, office shredders, departmental shredders, industrial shredders & high security shredders etc.). Product lines carried include Destroyit, Dahle, GBC, Clary, Intimus, Panasonic, Polyvision, Hitachi, 3M, Numonics, Teamboard, Plus and Quartet. Clary's main strength in the local San Diego market has been the outstanding reputation of its Services department. Its main strength in Internet sales has been its focus on top quality brands and well qualified product specialists that recommend customized solutions to our customers and educate them on end-to-end solutions.

The company has adapted the strategy to become a "one stop shop for all office electronics needs" and is adding new lines to its product portfolio such as telephony and video conferencing systems. The goal is to provide managed service solutions to its customers for all their office equipment needs with the exception of computers / IT systems.
